A small cobalt Buddy stands at the foot of a gentle stone ramp with a blue handrail and points up it with an outstretched arm; the ramp and three steps lead to a wide-open glass door, a glowing line on the floor shows the way.

Accessibility statement

A2 Digital Works wants this website to be usable by everyone. We build accessibility in during development, not afterwards.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Target standard

This website is developed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformance level AA. An automated check of every page (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 A and AA, light and dark appearance, phone and desktop) found no violations on 17 October 2026. On top came a contrast measurement on the rendered page and a full keyboard pass. Based on this own assessment the site meets WCAG 2.2 level AA (“fully conformant”). It is no substitute for everyday testing by people with disabilities – your feedback helps.

What is in place

Full keyboard operation, including every carousel: each swipe or drag gesture also has buttons and arrow-key support.

Visible focus on all interactive elements, a skip link, semantic landmarks and a consistent heading hierarchy.

AA contrast ratios in both light and dark appearance, controls with at least a 24 px target size as required by WCAG 2.2 AA, main buttons 44 px.

Alternative text for all informative images; purely decorative graphics and animations are hidden from screen readers.

Form fields with visible labels; error messages given as text, never by colour alone.

Respect for the “reduce motion” system setting: video does not autoplay, the logo stays static, and the network in “How we work” is drawn once and stays operable.

The background video is muted, can be paused, and carries no information that exists only there. “Stop motion” (at the very top via keyboard and in the footer) stops all animations and muted videos on every page; the setting is remembered. “Stop motion” (at the very top via keyboard and in the footer) stops all animations and muted videos on every page; the setting is remembered. “Stop motion” (at the very top via keyboard and in the footer) stops all animations and muted videos on every page; the setting is remembered. “Stop motion” (at the very top via keyboard and in the footer) stops all animations and muted videos on every page; the setting is remembered.

Notes

The short video “Websites that work.” on the German home page has open captions and a transcript with image descriptions below it.

The alternative text of the A2 Buddys describes their role rather than the picture in detail. The loading animation on the first visit lasts about four seconds and is skipped when “reduce motion” is on.

The site has so far been checked with automated tooling and manual keyboard testing, but not yet in everyday use by people with disabilities.
